Family History

The Cordano Family has a long and rich history in leasing and development dating back to 1922 when Jim Cordano Sr. founded his company.  He was a pioneer in both chain store leasing and shopping mall development. By the end of the twentieth century, Cordano Company was one of the oldest west coast retail speciality brokerages and mall development companies.

Continuing the tradition today, Mark Cordano is still at work providing great service for some of the best clients in Northern California, delivering key city core retail development deals and strip centers.

Mark Cordano

Mark Cordano brings with him over 25+ years of retail leasing experience, specializing in shopping centers, freestanding pad buildings and tenant representation. Mr. Cordano has represented a number of national and local tenants in the Sacramento and Northern California areas. In addition to representing regional and national tenants, Mr. Cordano is involved in leasing and representing a number of additional portfolio properties, shopping center accounts and restaurant accounts.

Mr. Cordano received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Economics from Saint Mary’s College. He is also a graduate of the University of Michigan Advanced Leasing Program and a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), and NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association).

In 2020, Mark and partners formed IDENT LLC, providing intelligent detection and next generation security technology to large public facilities worldwide.
